K. Tim Wulfemeyer is a professor and coordinator of the Journalism Degree Program in the School of Journalism and Media Studies at San Diego State University. He has degrees from Fullerton College (A.A.), San Diego State University (B.A.), Iowa State University (M.S.) and UCLA (Ed.D). He has taught at Iowa State University, New Mexico State University and the University of Hawaii. He has worked as a radio and television journalist in California, Iowa, Texas, New Mexico and Hawaii. His research interests include ethics in journalism, the content of radio and television newscasts, audience interests and content preferences, mass media literacy, advertising aimed at children and sports journalism. He is the author or co-author of six books, four book chapters, 35 journal articles and 45 conference research papers. He is a member of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, the Broadcast Education Association and the Society of Professional Journalists.
